As an artist who just so happens to be Christian, I always felt as if I was constantly navigating between two different worlds. I got tired of editing myself to "fit in" and then one day I decided I did have to. I wrote my book to help my fellow artist who struggle with the same thing.

Write like no one is watching or reading. I always tell aspiring writers to "get it all out" just "vomit on the pages" and DO NOT edit as you write.

It depends, but I will say one of the best things about writing books is that it gave me a sense of purpose. Words cannot describe getting an email from a reader that tells you how much your book helped him or her.

I dealt with writer's block with the art of distraction. Usually, I would work on some other aspect of the book such as the cover art or talk to my potential audience for the book on social media to see areas I wanted to write about from a different point of view.
