Writing is as much a daily discipline and meditation for me, as it is something I do when I'm feeling inspired. So even when the words don't immediately come to me, I still sit with paper and pen or my computer and stay open to the process itself. When I'm feeling especially blocked, I spend time in nature, which always centers me and clears my mind.

I have been writing for my own pleasure and asking big philosophical questions for most of my life, but it was in the wake of a painful personal disruption in early 2009 that I began blogging at the suggestion of a few close friends. What started as a cathartic way to process my feelings, became a platform for sharing insights and life lessons I was learning along the way.
