J.P. Robinson I love the word. I love God's Word. I love the ability to take His Word and share it with others via my own words.
I often draw inspiration from Scriptures or sermons. They form the basis of the spiritual lesson that I convey through my novels.
I had a teacher once who told me to "write to change the world." That theme has stuck with me and now, I'm using the power of words to make the world better others.
J.P. Robinson Be solid. Have a solid plan/purpose for your writing. Writing shouldn't just be to entertain-it should either educate, inform, teach or have some other useful purpose. Around that, we can weave a plot that will hook our readers to the very end.

Do solid research. Make your writing something that you can be proud of.

Do solid editing. You can do it!
J.P. Robinson The best thing is sharing the movie that's in my head with the viewer who'll see it through their own lens when they pick up the book.
J.P. Robinson Writer's block is like a wall, separating me from the fountain of inspiration that's just on the other side. I write anyway, even if I don't like what I've written. It's like I'm tearing the wall apart, one word at a time.

Sometimes I'll just stop for a while and then come back ready to renew the attack.
J.P. Robinson My idea for this book came from reading the Bible (Gen. 3) which deals with the fall of man and listening to a sermon called: "The Serpent's Seed" by Rev. William Branham. A synopsis of the sermon can be found on the website: www.themessage.com. I then merged the main theme of this sermon with an explosive time in French history and....voilà! An epic story of love, sin, war and redemption was born.
J.P. Robinson Thanks for asking. My favourite fictional couple is Atretes and Rizpah from Francine Rivers' Mark of the Lion trilogy. I admire Atretes' raw strength and unrefined freedom and I love Rizpah's courage and faith.
