Fanny Bae I picked this book up in Berlin last month, and have been enjoying it immensely as bedtime reading: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...

The top two books on my to-read pile are Welcome to Braggsville by T. Geronimo Johnson; and Son of a Witch by Jeffrey MacGuire, the second book in the Wicked series, which I finally got around to reading this year.
Fanny Bae Don't stop, and don't let anyone ever tell you there's a right way to do it. If you can't get up two hours early to sit at your computer every single day, don't worry. Yes, discipline and work will make the writing happen. But not everyone gets there easily, and not everyone gets there the same way and at the same rate. Also, thinking and researching and talking about ideas is all part of writing, as long as you eventually sit down and let something come out on the page.
Fanny Bae The second book in the Wyrd Series.
Fanny Bae There's something that gets mentioned in the opening chapter — Xavier's older sister, Katy, getting into a fight over a man at a bar — which is actually seen in the second book. That scene came to me in a dream many years ago, and eventually spun out into the scripts for a twelve-issue comic series, and those scripts became the Wyrd Series.
