Lauren Handel Zander The legacy I’m leaving, the difference I’m making, the opportunity this is to play with my sister, Marnie, who co-wrote the book with me, and the hard evidence I’m garnering that if you stay steadfast and true to your vision, you can achieve it.
Lauren Handel Zander This may sound trite or obvious, but, uh, write. And when you don’t want to––write more. Whether you’re a songwriter, a poet, a playwright, a screenwriter or dream to be one someday, the only way you are going to fully and wholeheartedly believe you are a true writer is by proving it to yourself first. You have to know you can keep a promise to yourself or build what I call, Personal Integrity. If you can’t trust yourself to do what you say, how can you believe in yourself. And, if don’t believe in yourself and your ability to be accountable for your own dream, how will anyone else. They won’t. So when you say, for example, you are going to write 2 hours a day, 4 days a week, you do. And when your inner dialogue tries to sell you some excuse or other, that you can’t today because you need to be in the mood (and aren’t) or don’t feel inspired––you do it anyway.
Lauren Handel Zander When I’m not coaching people, leading webinars, loving up my family and friends, painting, and scaring myself in one way or another (i.e. see latest fear: PTV special to promote Maybe It’s You), I am figuring out how to get my life coaching method out there, coming up with new methodology, and, yes, starting to plot the next book! Next up? LOVE. Turns out, people’s biggest issue––finding love and sustaining it––just so happens to be my favorite topic.
Lauren Handel Zander Given that I’m my own method’s guinea pig, I don’t have to look far for inspiration (and perspiration). Nothing like being on a mission to heal the planet to get you up in the morning and doing what it’s going to take, daily!
Lauren Handel Zander I’ve been coaching people for over twenty years––I’ve got so many ideas for books, it’s silly. The idea for this particular book––my first one––was pretty apparent to me. I knew if I wanted to impact humanity, I needed to get my method out into the world.
