I'm a bit late to the party, as Sarah J Maas has already released it, but A Court of Wings and Ruin is on my to read list! I love Sarah's books and, if I wasn't so busy writing my next book, I would have devoured her latest book already. Cannot wait to sit down and get my teeth into this book!

That I get to share my world with others.

I take a short break, re-read what I've just written then write through it. Even if what comes out is garbage eventually something worth keeping remains.

I know everyone says this but read, read a lot! Read different genres, and those that you're more drawn to are likely the ones you'll be better writing in. Also, don't give up. It's easy to throw down the pen and doubt your ability. I did it over and over, and I'm still not sure whether I'm good at it. This is my first book, and I'm still waiting on reviews. Nonetheless it is an achievement to put together a story, with a plot, with relatable, believable characters. I'm still learning and evolving, but I never gave up. Just keep writing even if you think it's rubbish, because amongst the mess, there might just be a gem.

Book two of The Soul Guide Series - The Farm (working title). I'm a third of the way in and this one is much darker. So far, it's been easier to write. Not sure what that says about me!!

This is fairly difficult to answer, I don't have a muse :) but I did have an idea for The Soul Guide that centred around bees and souls (see my latest blog for more information) followed swiftly by a character who I couldn't seem to shake. Together these ideas pushed me to write until I finished the story. It is said that everyone has a story waiting to be written and I can honestly say, that this was true for me. Plus I love 'London Grammar' and I listened to their album on a loop whilst I wrote this book!

I've just written a blog about a part of my inspiration, so please take a look at my latest blog here on Goodreads to find out more.
