I got inspired to write as I lay in my hospital bed a few years ago, recovering from a serious autoimune disorder. I was a detective in the police at the time and was reading through heaps of crime novels. While I was enjoying the majority of them, there were times admitedly when I was pulling my hair out at basic mistakes in police procedure. I thought I could offer something to crime readers, create an authentic product. The book also gave me a goal to acheive which aided my recovery.

Just start writing. And then dedicate a certain amount of time a day to it, that way you will keep progressing the book every day and eventually it will be finished.
