(view spoiler)[Mmm.... it was a conglomerate of things, to be honest, but mostly, I read a book once and a lost city made a small cameo. I fell in love with its abandoned desert streets and wanted a book that focused more on all the aspects I worshipped. I always have one or two stories on the go. When one isn't working for me, I switch to the other, and if that's not working, either, I consume new content to get the creative fire stoked again. Reading and watching things that are a little out of the norm for me help me get a different perspective as well.
