My two identities? I'm guessing you mean my life as a writer and then my family life? If so, they exist simultaneously. I don't consider them as two separate things, because writing is such a big part of me. Sometimes I have to work it into a schedule so that I don't let it overtake all of my time, but my family and friends are all so supportive that I'm lucky to be able to embrace my writership as part of my everyday. :D

Yes! You absolutely can expect more in the future. Right now I'm actually working on a spin on Peter Pan that I am rather excited about, and I have ideas brewing for the Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, and Snow White! I actually didn't choose Alice, but rather, Alice chose me. Before I started writing The Wanderland Chronicles, I knew I loved reading retellings, but wasn't sure how well I'd do with writing them. But sometimes, when inspiration hits, you gotta just roll with it, and I have to say, I'm so glad I did!

That was actually one of my biggest focuses while I was writing Alice. Even though I was turning it into something knew, I wanted to make sure to stay really true to the original story. One of the ways I did that by referencing Carroll's work constantly through the story. Most of my characters allude to their namesake in some way, even places and different items were 'twisted' from the original Wonderland. My goal and biggest hope is that while reading the Alice, Wonderland fans will enjoy finding the different spins on the classic.

Yes I do, and yes it does! I plan on correlating the events of Wanderland as closely as I can to what happens Through the Looking Glass. :) I am finalizing my outline and plan to break ground on my draft starting April as my Camp NaNoWriMo project!

It was SO fun. I knew that I wanted to be very true to the original work, so my first step was to go out and buy a copy of Alice and Wonderland and proceed to mark it up like I was writing a research paper. As I read, I found the parts that would work well with the twist that I wanted to add in and made sure that I found a way to work them specifically into my outline. From there, it was almost like connecting the dots to make the plot a seamless storyline.
