Bimini Island and Havana in Hemingway's Islands in the Stream. Not exactly fictional, very much based on his experiences there but a world I could easily inhabit and be happy. Islands is my favourite book of his, I read it every summer.

I'm huge into Amelia Earhart and her disappearance. I've wanted to write a historical spy thriller for the longest time. I couple that with one of the more outrageous theories about Earhart's disappearance, that she was a spy, sent by Roosevelt to check out the Japanese mandated islands in the south pacific, see what they were up too. I thought wouldn't it be great to create an Amelia Earhart like character and actually make her a spy. So that's what I'm working on. The first book is called The Berlin Escape and it should be out in April.
