If you could travel to any fictional book world, where would you go and what would you do there?
Warren Court Bimini Island and Havana in Hemingway's Islands in the Stream. Not exactly fictional, very much based on his experiences there but a world I could easily inhabit and be happy. Islands is my favourite book of his, I read it every summer.

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?
Warren Court never give up, never stop practicing. Follow Heinlen's five rules of writing religiously. Cut cut cut. Trust your instincts for the story. Have fun.

Warren Court Ability to pour myself into my characters, both the good and the bad.

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?
Warren Court I'm huge into Amelia Earhart and her disappearance. I've wanted to write a historical spy thriller for the longest time. I couple that with one of the more outrageous theories about Earhart's disappearance, that she was a spy, sent by Roosevelt to check out the Japanese mandated islands in the south pacific, see what they were up too. I thought wouldn't it be great to create an Amelia Earhart like character and actually make her a spy. So that's what I'm working on. The first book is called The Berlin Escape and it should be out in April.

How do you deal with writer’s block?
Warren Court Just start writing and it will go away or if I wait the guilt will build and I will be compelled to write.

How do you get inspired to write?
Warren Court I don’t, I just want to all the time.

What are you currently working on?
Warren Court a follow up to my book, The Last Dive. Just sent the 2nd book in my Aubrey Endeavours series off to my editor, should have it out to my ARC team in 3-4 weeks. And then its on to book 3 for Aubrey.
