To be honest, I don't. I haven't experienced writers block in the traditional sense. With my mental health, I always have ideas and things I want to write but my mental health sometimes prevents that. However, I will say just write. If it doesn't make sense, you can go back to it and fix it later. If you hate it, you can scrap it later. You have to keep creating.

You can create the characters that are what you needed at certain times in your life, you make the rules of your worlds, and sometimes you might even make a character that is similar to people in real life. But the world doesn't need to know exactly WHO those people are.

At the end of the day, it is your work. You will have people that will like it, love it even, but you will also have the people who hate it and will criticize your work. Don't let the people who don't like your work be the reason you stop writing because that takes away from your passion and it takes away what you can bring into the world from those who need it.

I am currently working on a revamp of The Story of a Ghost. I also have 2 full length books that I have written I want to go back and rework, and I have another book in the development/research process. I'm not sure what all I plan on doing first, but that is my collective projects.

It comes and goes in waves. I always have the desire and want to write, but sometimes I'm stuck mentally and emotionally. I sometimes can't find the motivation to, especially since graduating college. With school I constantly had deadlines that I had no choice but to meet, so regardless of my mental health I had to get it done. I don't have that now so it is harder to find the motivation.

I got the idea when I was in college. We had an assignment to write a short story and I had spent a lot of time binge watching the Paranormal Activity movies. I realized that I hadn't really read or seen anything that showed the POV of the ghost. Only the one's being haunted. If I wanted to see something like that or read something like that, then I knew I wasn't the only one.
