But I did want to highlight the love stories of Laila's roommates, I also have the ability to give details on Laila & Chris after college as they are now side characters in Creative Love.

I had a friend who suggested I start a blog to write about topics that I constantly discussed, after blogging it turned into a self-help book. Through that process I discovered I actually liked writing and sat down to write Freshmen Fifteen and totally fell in love with writing fiction.

Sit down and write. Read as many books as you can in the genre you'd like to write in to get an idea of how the story should flow. Then read more books on writing craft so that you understand how a story should be compiled. Then let your imagination run free!

I love to read, and writing is amazing because I can choose what I want to happen in the story. Sometimes when reading, we are disappointed in the twists and turns, but as a writer I'm able to control all the choices my characters make.

Usually, if I hit writer's block a warm shower or ratchet music helps to get the juices flowing. Stepping away and taking a break from the story also helps, my characters will usually pop some dialogue into my head that will get me back on track.
