Blythe Stone I don't often have writer's block. Write it out. Just write, even if you're switching to a new story, it's a good exercise. The best way to move forward with a story is to keep going. If you can't think of an idea just try and go sentence by sentence. Think of it like a movie that you're watching, what do you think will happen next? What would most likely happen next? How does that make you feel? You are in control, you can change things, you can edit, you can erase. Being scared to put word to paper is the biggest problem any writer can have. Don't be afraid of the blank page and don't count pages or sentences. It's not about quantity. At the same time, quality can be worked on- when you have time. Getting something down on the page is the most important act for a writer, so don't be scared to just put anything down. Write yourself out of it- if you can! For me, I don't get enough time to write, that's my problem. I have way too many stories just sitting in storage and waiting for my attention. I have the opposite problem.

Blythe Stone I just threw together the first official editing draft of Paper Dolls: Book Three. That'll be my top priority where writing is concerned. I do have several other projects that are very far along and collecting dust because of my issues with time. My second writing priority is to work on finishing the book I'm writing about an unexpected real life relationship between two girls in the same online fandom who accidentally meet.
Blythe Stone Inspiration is everywhere. I'm not one of those authors who has trouble finding inspiration. I have the opposite problem: NOT ENOUGH TIME! When I actually get time enough to sit down and write my fingers fly and I can write for hours without stop. It's very rare I run out of ideas and words. Getting inspired to edit is another thing...
Blythe Stone Paper Dolls was originally intended to be a short fanfiction piece. We didn't get past a few pages before we realized that the characters were very original and not at all what we had been intending. In that way, the world building just sort of took over and we were on a ride we couldn't end quickly. It was very addicting and definitely a pleasant surprise.
