Mary Ann Johnson I left a lid ajar on a five-gallon bucket of honey. My 18-month-old granddaughter discovered the unsealed bucket!!!!

This may not be the type of horror you had in mind but I assure you the result was horrible!!! : )
Mary Ann Johnson That is a difficult question because there are so many wonderful places but in many of them, hard things happen. However, when I was a fairly young girl I read Lost Horizons by James Hilton. It has some happy parts and some sad parts. I didn't think much about it as a girl, except that it was a great story. But now I am 67 and I have lived a long time, experienced much and done much. Shangri-la is a place I would go. I would go there to think without so many worldly distractions and to rest. Knowing myself I wouldn't stay long because there are so many things I feel compelled to do before I die but I would stay long enough to have a darn good rest and to do some inner work. I have discovered that inner work usually matters most but it is hard to do in our busy world.
Mary Ann Johnson I write at a certain time every day. I stay at the desk until the set time runs out. I write even if I don't like what I just wrote. Then I get up the next day and do it again. I just do it every day - except Sunday. I take a day off every week. Keeps my brain fresh and rested. : )
Mary Ann Johnson Mostly it has been a roller coaster so far. : ) I am watching for the best thing and I will let you all know just as soon as I find it.
Mary Ann Johnson I have submitted a new book to my publisher that gives one Presence activity to practice each week of the year. It should be out in 2018. I have a quote calendar that is about ready for press and I am currently working on a book that covers the family connection tool called The Spark Station. Excited about that.
Mary Ann Johnson I am not always inspired. In order to write the current book I got up at 4am six days a week and wrote for a few hours. It didn't matter if I felt inspired or not. I just did it. That's how it got done.
Mary Ann Johnson I have been speaking to and teaching parents how to connect with their kids despite the busy-ness of every day for over 6 years. I also raised seven children. It just seemed like a good idea to get it all down on paper. : )
