If I ever get writer's block I tend to walk away from the manuscript, have a break and try to clear my head. If I give myself some thinking time, ideas tend to flow much more easily.

My advice for aspiring writers is to just keep going. It sounds cliched but it's true. I was on the point of giving up when Undercurrent was accepted by my publisher, Bloodhound Books. Had I not persisted, Undercurrent wouldn't be here for people to read!

I got the idea for Undercurrent when I moved house to a village that overlooks the river. It's a beautiful view during the day but very sinister at night!
