I take a break and do other "things" like work on my website or answer emails or go for a walk. I believe that if there is a "block" it is because a break is needed. Now, I know some people really suffer from writers block and can't write for a long period of time. To those who suffer from this, I say to just "free write" anything. Read Peter Elbow about that!
