Write. As a psychologist and a writer I know that the only way to face the dreaded writers block is to just sit down and do it. And I also know that's easier said than done, particularly considering my writers block is usually a product of a sense of anxiety that I have no skill whatsoever, but every time I succeed I get to connect with why I do this - to create and to share. And eventually the words come, every time, without fail.

Connecting with others - with other writers and the overwhelming amount of talent and passion for quality writing out there. And with readers. I write so something I've created can touch someone else. They're the ones that make the hard hours worth every moment.

Write. Read. Connect.
Prophecy Awakened wouldn't be on Goodreads accumulating positive reviews if it wasn't for my commitment and passion to write a story that is worthy of a readers time. It wouldn't have the twists and turns, the beautiful story of a love that defies boundaries if I didn't spend a whole lot of time reading about the craft of writing. And none of my writing wouldn't be what it is if it wasn't for the village around me - my writers friends who've supported and challenged me, my close friends for their encouragement and faith, and my husband - the foundation of it all.

Well, book 2 in the Prime Prophecy Series is on the publishers desk so editing it and publishing it is next on my list. Whilst that's happening I'm also I deciding the best home for the next book I've written. Make it Count is about a girl who's touch will reveal the one thing no one wants to know - how many days a person has to live. Understandably, Casey avoids touch at all costs...until she meets hunky PJ...I loved writing this book so I'm looking forward to sharing it with my readers soon. And then there's the modern spin on Phantom of the Opera that's I've just started...think disfigured, angry young man that is determined to uncover the masks of others, about to discover the healing power of love :)

Some days I'm super lucky and the gods of inspiration-and-many-words shine down on me and it just flows. Most days I sit down and read the stuff I wrote yesterday or the day before and wait for it to come. Usually it works...if it doesn't, then I go have comfort chocolate...

Prophecy Awakened came to me in a dream (so cliche, right?). But it was a beautiful dream. There was moving scenes of a boy who never came of age like everyone everyone of his kind has. It was a story about the girl who has wounds of her own (and totally underestimates her potential) and the power of their connection. A connection powerful enough to spark Noah's change, and to challenge Eden's beliefs. And it was an idea that wouldn't go away.
So Prophecy Awakened was conceptualised and created. Its has all the elements of an epic love story; its faced paced and thrilling, it has a delightful dose of humour and wit, and ultimately its touching and moving and beautiful.
I'm looking forward to hearing what readers think of it.
