I write anyway and know I can edit out any nonsensical parts later!

A wonderful question...and one I am equally uncertain of :) Waiting on the TV show for the book or vice versa, it's all very confusing. In the meanwhile I am writing a bunch of other books, but let's hope we can dive back into the Vindico world one day!

Alas she was bought, considered, and tucked onto a neat shelf where I believe she sits waiting for an intrepid director to take it over again. Such is the life of a great many wonderful stories...for now!

Thank YOU for the lovely comment! I am fascinated by caves and people alike, so putting them together in a harrowing series of events seemed like a natural move. I think readers are connecting with the characters, which is all I ever ask.
P.S. I have some books with another Kobe coming out next year...check them out.

Glad to hear you enjoyed! I certainly left it open, but we will have to see how it does and so forth. I do have 6 books coming out next year so that should keep you busy.

I wrote, dealt with crushing self-doubt, submitted, dealt with more crushing self-doubt, and then was published. The trick is those middle parts and what you do with them.
Wesley King
Well this isn't my most punctual response, but I am thrilled you enjoyed it :) There have been some rumblings but nothing official yet, alas. Fingers crossed!

Sorry I thought I had answered this: thank you for writing and I am grateful to hear you have read the books TWICE. At the moment there are no plans for a third book, but you never know. I do have a general plot and a working title--The Invictus--should I ever continue the series. In the meanwhile, you may like some of my other titles and there are plenty more books on the way!

I do it because I need to. Many aspiring writers are working harder NOT to write: no time, no ideas, no hope of publishing. We can convince ourselves of anything. Make time. Stop bashing your good ideas. And hope? I guarantee you this: if you don't write it, you definitely have none. If you do...crazy things happen every day.

Top-secret project that will hopefully be announced soon!

Treat it like reading. Enjoy it, focus on what you know and like and want, and do it because we all need to live in our minds sometimes. In the end, share.

Working in PJs. Also an encouraged outlet for madness.

I hope you found it!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you so much for your question (and for your kind words about OCDaniel). I am thrilled to know that the book is resonating with kids. The other stuff has been great, but that was the whole point.
Writing advice says a lot of things, and the vast majority is subjective, biased, and overly generalized. All the best fiction is autobiographical in the sense it reflects the authors interests, passions, and fear. The only writing advice I can ever imagine listening to is to write what you are passionate about and go with the flow. OCDaniel was an outlet for my own struggles and I think that authenticity connected with readers. If any writers can bring me into their lives with a deft touch in a fictional-setting, then I am hooked. So I say go where the story takes you...even if that means into your own life. But hey...chalk that up to one more piece of writing advice that may or may not even be helpful :)

Sorry I missed this Brett! At the moment there are no plans for a 3rd book but that could definitely change. The Torturer does get to go to the Island...but something tells me he won't stay there for long. You may also like some of my other books so check them out!

Hello! I am so sorry for the delay I did not see this! I would love to continue the ISR series, but we will have to see how it goes. I have a few other series on the way now, but that is one of my absolute favourites. It did not find as many readers as we had hoped, so I will count on you to spread the word!

Hi Joseph! Sorry for the delay...I tend to forget that I have questions on here!
I am honoured that you consider me one of your favourite authors. It sounds like you have a lot of my work...I hope you try the Dragons vs. Drones series too! Alas no news on the TV show or 3rd book, so fingers crossed that we will be able to continue the story. My favourite Vindico member is The Torturer as well, and for the League I like Emily :) Lyle most certainly counts. Keep reading and thank you for reaching out!

You did! I am sorry for the delay I forgot to check my questions here. I am quite tall, this is true. There are two books in The Vindico series and the sequel The Feros is already out. I hope you had a chance to read it, and if not, there is still time!
This question contains spoilers...
(view spoiler)[I really loved your book The Incredible Space Raiders, it really grabs your attention at the end of each paragraph. I am in Churchville public schools silver birch club, this book was chosen to be read. I am in grade 6. Why didn't you make a sequel? Why didn't the crew break for it when Captain White Shark was given the stuffed pink monkey? Why do they only have bean bars on the fantastic flying squirrel? That's all! (hide spoiler)]
Wesley King
Ha these are great questions! In short:
-I certainly hope to make a sequel soon as I love the characters
-The crew is quite nefarious and on ships everyone follows the Captain!
-They had bean bars because they were rations...cheap and easy to ship!
Thank you for writing Alicia!
