Your e-Book on Sam Manekshaw - a small correction - Sam Manekshaw took over Eastern Command from Lt Gen T B Henderson Brooks and not Lt Gen P P Kumaramangalam. My Father served with all three in Calcutta so we know ?

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?
Hanadi Falki Trust yourself. If you think you can do it, no one will be able to stop you. Never stop chasing your dreams. And believe me, it's never too late. Write, write and write away :-)

How do you deal with writer’s block?
Hanadi Falki Sleep through it :-)

I always find words eager to escape when I wake up. Some of the best pieces I wrote were written right after a wonderful nap :-) And if that doesn't work either, I take a short break, travel somewhere and then come back and get back to writing. Nature always manages to awaken the writer in me :-)

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?
Hanadi Falki My most recent book, 'The Price of Our Silence', portrays the various aspects of the lives of youngsters today in India. The background is the Multimedia industry, more specifically the 3D stereo-conversion industry that caters mostly to Hollywood blockbusters. I have been a part of this industry and my observations led me to write this book. I have witnessed how hard it can be to take the right decision at times, how tempting to break free from all bonds and how difficult to maintain that thin line between traditions and modern values, between friendship and love. This book was written to give a voice to the deafening silence that surrounded the youngsters working in such an environment.

What’s the best thing about being a writer?
Hanadi Falki The best thing about being a writer is having the power to create a world of your own, to bring to life the characters residing in that world, to put those characters to test and have the ability to control their destiny... In a way a writer gets to live many lives through his/her characters.
