People watching is a favorite way of mine to get inspired. I sit in a mall or outdoor space and just make up stories about the people that walk by. Where are they going? What are they thinking? Is today a special day for them, or just a regular, boring day?

There was a door on the landing in an apartment I lived in for a few years that was locked. I could see through the keyhole that it was filled with things (furniture?) covered in sheets. No one every mentioned it - not the other tenants, not the landlord...Very mysterious!
