I would travel into the world of Nancy Drew where I lived so many hours as a school-age girl. I read every single Nancy Drew Mystery and was captivated by her adventures. I remember visualizing her neat dresser drawers filled with sweaters and was envious. I moved on to read every book about the Hardy Boys. Reading was my escape from being the oldest child of five and having a lot of responsibility for my age.
