Sean Easley I'm currently in revisions on the follow-up to THE HOTEL BETWEEN, which we're calling THE KEY OF LOST THINGS. It's a ton of fun so far (which probably means we haven't hit the killer part of revisions that will well and truly eat my lunch), and I'm super excited to get this book into something resembling a final form!
Sean Easley Being given a license to torture innocent characters and readers. I mean... come on. Who wouldn't want that? Wait... no... don't walk away. I promise I'm not sadistic. I SAID DON'T WALK AWAY!!!
Sean Easley The Howl's Moving Castle universe, hands-down. I would die for some seven-league boots, or to catch a falling star and turn it into a castle. And the doors!! Howl's castle is a big part of what inspired me to write The Hotel Between Here, There, & Everywhere.
Sean Easley To quote Faulkner: "I only write when inspiration strikes. Fortunately it strikes at nine every morning."

Honestly, though, for me inspiration comes through doing, and doing comes from sitting down at my computer and forcing my brain to engage. If I can muddle through working when I don't feel the inspiration, the inspiration will often join me a little later. Fashionably late to the party, I guess.

None of the good ever comes before the work. What starts as an entirely "uninspired" manuscript can become "inspired" through a lot of long man-hours.
