Usually writers block means I'm trying to hard to force a scene or a direction of the story. So I'll either skip to the next scene or start spinning words about the setting, description or what the character is feeling. That usually shakes something loose for me to work with, or if nothing else gives me details to work in on the next draft.

Spending time in a world you created with your friends. I mean characters, characters who become your friends, that you love spending time with. Except when you hate them, but you'll make up. Probably. And if not, you can create more friends in different worlds.
The best part about being a writer is getting to embrace that part of you that you may have thought there was something wrong with or that people called you strange or weird for, that part that makes you who you are, embracing all your life experiences and sliding them onto the page in various degrees of subtlety.

Write a lot. Then edit. Then find a critique group, either in person or online. Then write a lot more. Once you've done that, submit your work. Understand that all writing is very subjective and you may have to do a good deal of searching to find the right place for your work. Expect rejection and be pleasantly surprised when an acceptance comes in, that way you'll keep disappointment to a minimum.

I'm currently working on the third novel of The Narvan Series and looking for a publisher for the first two. And a fantasy novel. And a humorous fantasy novel. And a file full of short stories. I have a lot of projects going at the same time so I always have something to do.

I spend much of my day working (which is not writing) and thinking about what I'd like to be writing. Most of my stories come from my mind wandering during work, wondering: what if....?

A Broken Race started with the idea of writing four characters who were all both the good and bad guy. I explored each character throughout the various drafts and finally decided on One-fifty-two as my protagonist. He was such an interesting character to write, being so innocent, and I'd grown rather attached to him. Though, in the end, each of the four men had and equal share of good and bad, their actions necessary based on what they thought was best for their people.
