Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Shannon Lane My most recent novel, Temperance, is a very loose depiction of my relationship with my own father, who battled alcoholism. The relationship was strained, and I found it cathartic to write a story about how things could have been, rather than how they were. And so, Temperance was born.
