I'm quite happy where I am.

Strangers on a Train, is a definite for this summer, and probably one of Clive Cussler's, as I have some catching up on the Dirk Pitt series.

I don't lead an exciting life, just a ordinary office worker, so Fincham's has the excitement for me, although I'm not sure that's the way he'll see it!
However, a number of books are based around places I've visited or experienced. A hurricane in Florida (Torre Attack), the locations in Sicily (Sicilian Defence), the locations in Australia (Cairns - For Medusa Defence), and also Luxor in Egypt (for the fabulous settings at Karnak and the Valley of the Kings for Queen's Knight (as well as the cover picture being one I took there).

I was sort of talked into it. I read a lot and developed a set of characters, developed a plot, and a few people asked why didn't I have ago. Well, that's 13 books ago now.

I actually sat through Hurricane Charlie a few years back and the idea for the beginning of Torre Attack was born. That then tied in with a news item from the BBC, and off I went.
