Some friends and I were going on a bit of a road trip, about 3 hours each way. After we got in the car, I locked the doors and told them there was no getting out - even for a toilet stop - until they came up with a fresh idea for a novel.
From this, Driven was born. It's about a young and rich woman living in LA, who gets kidnapped by an autonomous cab that's been hacked.
It's (I think) an original idea, and I hope it captures readers, but I'm not sure those two friends want to come on any more road trips with me.
