Darnnell Reese Just type. With the goal of telling a story or describing a scenario in a way that you can see the scene in your minds eye. Type until the vision is clear. Remove any words, that don't add to the scene, or have complicated the vision. Keep all the words that led you to the story being understood in your opinion. Refine, revise sentences and move to the next scene, story, or situation and repeat.
Darnnell Reese When you write the book that you actually want to read. When you read the book that you wrote because it helps you quickly overcome a terrible hurt you are now experiencing again by another giant or bully. Or you're reading the words you wrote and start smiling again, because you see how good God is, and how He worked through people in the Bible who were just as messed up as we are today. And now I'm laughing, knowing that this too shall pass.
Darnnell Reese I am first inspired by the truth of God's Word. Then I am inspired by the human condition and how people on earth are either hurtful or helpful toward their fellow man. When I experience hurt, degradation, humiliation by insensitive people I want God to help me. I also want to do the right thing in return and not feel bitter or vindictive. So I endeavor to help others like me, who don't want to suffer, but do want a change in the way people behave. I want to offer solutions to remove the pain quickly, and to remove the source of the pain: the evil, hateful people.
Darnnell Reese It was the night before my birthday and I was depressed. I didn't really know why. I felt that Facebook somehow made me feel that with all those people out there in cyberspace, not one of them is really concerned about anyone but themselves. So I prayed about it to God. When I awoke in the middle of the night as I often do, I was now smiling and happy. God seemed to make me remember funny things I read in the Bible that made me laugh out loud. So I really feel He was showing me that His word is purposeful for all of our human conditions. And that is why I wrote, In All Seriousness...Totally Funny Bible Stories. It's a 'pun' title that is meant to sound like I'm solemn, but I am really just being facetious.
