It's summer (almost) and I love to wear my flip flops and bare feet, reclining on my lawn chair on my front porch and read all summer long. Do you have a favorite pair of shoes or sandals (or even slippers) that you like to wear on your feet when you are writing? or reading? I find if I pamper my toes and feet in a squishy pair of flip flops, the rest of my body feels refreshed also.

Are the characters of Inevitable Encounters black or white?
Nicki Grace Hi! Thanks for your question. Inevitable Encounters is a 3 book Series. The characters in book 1 are black. The main characters in book 2 are black and 1 guy is Puerto Rican. The characters in book 3 are black.

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?
Nicki Grace People in my life are always asking my advice for things and then telling me I should counsel others. After hearing it so long I decided to take it seriously. Since dating advice seemed to be one topic that kept coming up I decided to start there.

How do you get inspired to write?
Nicki Grace Life. I love just watching things and learning from them. There is always something happening in the world, to those around you or to yourself that can get the ideas going.

How do you deal with writer’s block?
Nicki Grace Silence and taking a break from the normal. True they are cliches but they work so well for me.

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?
Nicki Grace Try to put the opinions of everyone out of your mind, find a quiet place and get those thoughts out. Seeing your thoughts in front of you does wonders for inspiration.
