M. Sage Gormley Without any hesitation, I would travel to the Shire and eat cheese wheels and bread for countless weeks.
M. Sage Gormley The Thrawn Trilogy by Timothy Zahn, and many, many more that are piled up on shelves and floors that I've owned entirely too long without reading!
M. Sage Gormley As always, I'm working on a couple of projects right now. When I wrote A Flutter in the Night, I wanted something very light-hearted and adventure focused, nearly a young adult novel.

Now, I have a science-fiction project that I'm working on that is a little deeper and darker.
M. Sage Gormley I hate the advice that everyone hears: read more and write more... but it is important.

My personal advice, write what you love to write. "It Rains" was a product of me feeling like no one would want to read my fantasy adventure tales. There are always people interested in the same things that you are, though. Write what you love to read and write. Write that tale that you want, and there will always be someone to read it.
M. Sage Gormley I love to read; however, I'll find myself in phases where I can't stick to one book: there are just times where I can't find something to fit my mood. I love being able to think, "what do I want to read?" and creating that tale myself.

There's nothing more satisfying than writing "The End" after three or four months of work on a first draft.
M. Sage Gormley Writer's block is a strange phenomenon; a psychological road block. Sometimes it comes in the form of lacking motivation, or not being able to transfer the great idea in your head to words on paper.

When it comes to me, I like to just move on for a bit. I always have two or three projects going on, so if the writer's block decides to crop up, I can focus on something else for a bit. I also find it extremely helpful to just let words fill up in a notebook, whether they're related to a specific project, random thoughts, or nice quotes you find from other authors.

Keep the creativity flowing in any form possible!
