Steven Sheiner Writer's block can be frustrating. For me, the best approach is to stand up walk away from the computer/typewriter/pad, etc, and find a quiet place to think. I close my eyes and visualize the story and where I want it to go. I picture what has already happened and create in my mind how I want the story to get from where it is to where it needs to go. Once I have a clear picture, I put down my ideas on paper. Anytime a thought or idea pops into my head, I write it down. I may not use them all, but it gives me material to build the story on.
Steven Sheiner Boy, it would be hard not to visit the wizarding world of Harry Potter. Imagine taking a tour of the castle at Hogwarts! J.K. Rowling did such a fantastic job of creating this new world. I've seen it in my mind, I've visited the theme park in Orlando, but how amazing would it be to be whisked away to a land where magic exists and the boy that lived was there to greet you?!
Steven Sheiner There have been so many stories in the media regarding healthcare and big pharma, it's hard to ignore. One day, an idea popped into my head. A scary idea. Very quickly I decided it would make a good story. I started jotting down a few ideas and, before long, that story became my first novel, Running Still.
