Jono Pech Aside from promoting The Spy and the Maven, I'm putting together ideas that will lead to beginning work on a sequel.
Jono Pech All art inspires me to think creatively. I'm motivated to write when I enjoy music, TV, films, video games and writing that make me feel something and want to create my own content.
Jono Pech I never faced writer's block and here's why - I had mapped out the basic story from start to finish with a synopsis, which meant I could just move on to a different part of the book when I wasn't feeling inspired to write out a certain part of the story. Sometimes I would work on an action scene, other times key dialogue, or I could even go back and rewrite/edit older parts of the book - whatever I was doing, I could always make progress somewhere in the story.
Jono Pech Write what you know and just do it. There's always a reason not to write but you'll never get anywhere unless you force yourself to put your ideas onto a page.
Jono Pech The idea for my first book came from a movie synopsis I drafted up for a podcast episode, aiming to demonstrate how easy it is to pitch a Hollywood film plot. I picked a title from an online random movie name generator, which spat out "The Stealth Gene" and just brainstormed from there. A year or so later I decided to flesh out the story and decided it would make an interesting novel.
