Hi Lori! Thanks for the great question.
This has been on my mind a lot lately as I wrap up the fourth and final WW book.
I've been toying with the idea of a progression fantasy series for a while now. What's progression fantasy? It's fantasy based around a magic or skill system in which characters increase in power and abilities over time.
It will feature a unique magic system, fleshed out fantastical world, along with uniquely strange creatures and people living in it. As with the Windwalker series, this one will focus on the characters' stories, struggles, and relationships. There will of course also be healthy doses of action and adventure.
Thanks and happy reading :)

Hi Abby, thanks for your question!
None of my books contain any sex/nudity, and I would consider both the Windwalker series and The Aeternum Chronicles to be appropriate for readers aged 13+. That said, these stories are accessible to older audiences as well - many of my readers are adults.
Cheers!

Oh I see, my mistake. I did not realize The Gathering Mask was the book you were referring to. The reason it's not on amazon is because it's a novella that's exclusively available to newsletter subscribers - a little behind the scenes peek into Clementine's life. While it's not listed on Amazon, I do greatly appreciate you taking the time to write a review here on Goodreads - thank you!
Happy new year,

Research. Learn things. How do you create interesting characters? How do you do a successful info dump? What gives your story depth?
Brandon Sanderson has a fantastic series on this and other topics. I strongly recommend giving them a watch if you're serious about writing good books: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list...
One of my biggest challenges was actually sitting down to write that first big project, so my other piece of advice would be to set a schedule. What worked for me was to dedicate a specific chunk of time each day. Often I spent it writing, but there were times when the whole time was spent generating ideas and thinking around corners.

By walking around. A lot. Doesn't even matter if it's inside or outside. Walking helps me think, and thinking helps me come up with new ideas. When I have new ideas, I want to write them down.

Brandon Sanderson's Oathbringer is next on my list. I Just have to find time to pick it up! The first two books from the Stormlight Archive were such an exhilarating, finely crafted ride that I could not be more excited to read the 3rd.
Other than that, I need to catch up on James S.A. Corey's Nemesis games, which is book 5 from The Expanse series. It's a fantastic space opera that makes you into a crew member of the Rocinante.

I'm currently working on Book 2 of the Aeternum Chronicles. It will continue where Recreance left off, and include more characters, grand scale events, alien worlds, and of course, the adventures of Oren and Clementine.

One of my biggest inspirations is music. I find I'm 10 times more creative when I'm listening to an album that makes me feel something. I'm also a huge fan of the visual arts, and can find inspiration in beautiful works. Beyond that, I'm of course inspired by great authors like Tolkien, Robert Jordan, Stephen King, Brandon Sanderson, Orson Scott Card, and many more.
