T.M. Toombs Hi, Andrew!

Coffee. Specifically, espresso is what motivates me to get out of bed every day. It doesn't make itself so if I want it (or should I say, need it), I have to drag myself out of bed and find the kitchen.

Remembering is more difficult. I've settled on memorizing steps for my shower routine. Yes, seriously. LOL I get sidetracked with so many random thoughts and story ideas that in order to make it out of the shower not only in a timely matter before I run out of hot water, but cleaned and rinsed, I had to come up with four steps. The bottles are lined up and to remember which one I'm on, I turn them (front to back or back to front). I think I've discovered how absent minded professors are born.

Hm..."How do you go about writing characters with their own distinct voice?"

The short answer is - The scene plays out in my head and I can hear them talking.

The long answer is - see the above and then figure in my awesome editor that will make suggestions, question things and point out other things I might have left out to create a more rounded character.

Thank you for taking the time to drop by and interact with me. I really enjoyed it and I hope you have a wonderful day!
T.M. Toombs The idea came from watching the news. I was getting so fed up with all the political trash talk that I needed an escape. But it inspired the idea that maybe all politicians are corrupt and out to get the little people.
T.M. Toombs I haven't had writer's block in several years. If I get stuck, I'll do chores while my sub conscience churns the problem. The longest I've gotten stuck was a day or two. That took an email to my developmental editor to see what she suggested. I adore her.
T.M. Toombs Don't quit. Take a day off here and there, but don't get discouraged. You never know what's right around the corner. Sometimes a nap helps. :D
T.M. Toombs The second book in The Annunak Series.
T.M. Toombs I was frustrated with the 2016 presidential election and needed to focus all that pent up energy somewhere. Writing about a corrupt government enslaving the masses seemed like a good idea.
