I am inspired by location and history. Perfidia takes place in Barbados, one of the most beautiful places on earth with an interesting history with the British and sugar. The Cooper Quartet, about the Vietnam Era, takes place in Michigan and California and, of course, Vietnam. The series is driven by the history of the time and how changed those who lived through it. The book I am currently working on takes place in the mountains outside Yosemite National Park with their huge redwoods and golden grasses.

I like to mix it up. I just published the second book in the Cooper Quartet which features a military family during Vietnam. So, I'm writing a standalone suspense novel with a swash of romance. It helps to keep my creative juices flowing.
