Vincent K. Hunanyan It depends. Mostly separate. But when I have a due date for a book, I'll write more consistently.

And there isn't a "wrong" way to write. Write in whatever way feels best for you.

Vincent K. Hunanyan The initial idea was to publish a short story collection (being the form that I am most familiar with), but going through a tumultuous time in my life I began writing a lot of poetry which later became "Black Book of Poems" so I released that first.

Most of the stories in "I Wasn't Crying Over You" are based on my own life while some are products of my imagination.

I don't really have a "method" for inspiration. I could be standing in the supermarket or going for a walk and an idea or a line will pop up in my head and I'll write it down and later turn that note into something more.

I don't believe that there is some kind of magic formula for this, but I believe that a writer should be disciplined.
Vincent K. Hunanyan I am currently working on my short story collection that is being released on September 21, and is entitled "I Wasn't Crying Over You."

Vincent K. Hunanyan I'm pretty sure that I am still "aspiring" myself, (but being about to publish my second work), I'd say that you must believe in yourself relentlessly (even if no one else does) and be persistent. I think that there are a lot of very creative people out there who give up too easily due to their lack of persistence. Oh, and you have to be disciplined.

Get away from people who tell you that you cannot do it.
Vincent K. Hunanyan The feeling that you have created something worthwhile, especially when people reach out, telling you how your writing moved them. That's a wonderful feeling.
Vincent K. Hunanyan Through exercise and/or reading and trying to forget the writing for a while.
