Hello John - There was obviously a lot of research and work that went into it and I congratulate on this. The story itself had a good basis but in my humble opinion I found the writing stilted which spoils the enjoyment somewhat. In fact to be totally honest with you I saw the same "mistakes" in my first novel and regret a little having put my first book together in that way. What I mean by that is I had a tendency to go into details that the reader doesn't necessarily need. And I felt that your book did the same thing. Giving street names of Ely is one of the examples that comes to mind from your book. This is due in major part to our publisher - my wife edited my other books and I believe did a far better job.
I do however genuinely wish you great success with your book and as you point out, most people disagree with me anyway. For your sake I sincerely hope that they continue to do so!

My children! I wanted to write a story for them and make them the main characters. I then got carried away and wrote a trilogy of The Time Travelling Clock Series. The second one has been published - the third one will be published soon.

Go and do something else. I really enjoy sport and the exercise helps me to air my mind too.
