If you come on board a spaceship and move out of Earth, you can probably find life, like bacteria, somewhere. But you have to travel far to meet other beings with imagination. Writing makes you able to expand your imagination, which is the most powerful integrated function of your brain. Writing is your spaceship to the edge of the universe.

It is never the writer, who is blocked. It is the writing track that has come to a dead end. I manage it by:
- Staying away from alcohol
- Jogging
- Packing the luggage and laptop and flying somewhere
- Editing photos, videos
- Setting up a website, programming, ...
- Doing manual activities: setting up a pergola or a pavilion, repairing things, ...
- ...
- Finding a different writing track to follow.

The answer is, I don't get ideas, I just follow the dynamic of the story.
I was working on the series called Rita's Revenge, just writing the draft to see where the story is leading. All the other characters were engaged somewhere, except Rita. I thought why not follow her to Granada to visit her mentor. The only thing I knew was, she had learned her craft by Romas in southern Spain. I thought it would take a couple of chapters. It took 17 chapters and almost 500 pages. Already after a few pages, the story was out of my hands. I was only a secretary to type it in.
