Heather Greer It depends on the story. With Hope Even After, the physical theme came first. With Love in the Squared Circle, it was a marriage of physical and spiritual happening at the same time. But with Cake That!, it was the idea of a book featuring a televised baking show that prompted the book, and the spiritual aspect flowed from Livvy's character and the way she would respond to issues based on her faith.
Heather Greer The premise for Window of Opportunity as one book in a four book multi-author series was developed through a writing exercise at a writer's retreat. The actual story plot came from my need to write a historical romance instead of a contemporary. When it was decided I would write one set in the 1920's, I knew the local history of the area where I live would play a part. Charlie Birger's Shady Rest was less than an hour away. This provided the perfect backdrop for Evangeline and Brendan's story.
Heather Greer I think it would be really amazing to visit Narnia. Of course, I wouldn't want to have to deal with the White Witch, but if I could go right after that time, that would be great.
Heather Greer There isn't an easy answer to that. Sometimes my inspiration comes from an experience. Sometimes a place or a person can trigger the inspiration. It can be as simple as a snippet of conversation. Inspiration can come from anything at any time.
Heather Greer This week I received the second round of edits for Grasping Hope, the next book in Katie's story. I'll finish those, return them to the publisher, and keep working on book three. I can't wait to see the cover design for Grasping Hope. It's coming out in March so I know the cover is coming soon!
