I have read a lot of different pieces of advice, seen alleged tactics famous authors have taken, but for me I do just one thing: keep writing. Even if I can only manage to write one terrible sentence in an hour, I write until something happens. And when it does, it fixes all the horrible stuff I wrote up to that point.
