Write, write, write! Even if you think it sucks. Even if you're scared. Especially if you're scared. You'll only get better by writing more.
My #1 rule in life is this: Feel the fear and do it anyway. Every time I sit down to my laptop, I'm convinced I've forgotten how to write. That the next sentence I type is going to be my last. That people are going to laugh and be cruel and tell me I'm a hack. But I do it anyway. Because if I didn't, the fear would win.
And *I* want to win, guys. I like winning!

When I wrote SOMETHING SO SWEET, Cat very often took over every scene she was in. She basically demanded to get her own story. And, because of who she is as a character, I thought it would be a lot of fun to pair her with someone stable, someone who believes in happy-ever-afters, someone far less cynical than her. And it was!

I just sent the third book in my Breakaway series off to my beta readers. While I wait, I've started to outline the next series, which stars a few familiar faces!

Writers block generally means something isn't working in the story. If I'm experiencing this, I close my laptop and open a notebook. Something about putting pen to paper jolts new ideas loose in my noggin.
If that doesn't work, I take my pup, Luca, for a walk, or drive with the music blaring.
