On a dark stormy night, on her way back from work, she was approached by a mysterious figure. As he closed the gap between them, her blood ran cold when she saw he was dressed as a clown.

Every time I'm cursed with that treacherous word I do the following: First I will make myself a cup of tea. Then I will spend a few minutes in the garden next to my fish pond. And yes... I will talk to my koi fish. This might seem crazy but it works. It distracts me from my novel and gives my brain some time to come up with new ideas. When my tea-cup is empty, I will go back to my novel and resume my work.

The best thing about being a writer is the freedom to be who you want to be in your novels. All the characters we create is somewhat part of us. If I feel like being the damsel in distress that needs saving from prince Charming then so be it. If I want to try my hand and committing a murder, that is absolutely fine-as long as it remains within the pages of your novel of course!
Writing is a means of escaping the real world. It opens the doors to magic and romance and even fear.

Never give up! If I can do it, so can you. I am nowhere near to my goal but finishing my first novel and starting the new series is an accomplishment in itself.

I recently started a three-part series called Mama's Retribution. It's about a young prostitute that finds herself in dire straits almost every day of her life. When she thought she could take no more, she finds her savior in a dirty old cardboard box next to a red dumpster.
I don't want to say too much about it but it's bound to capture the hearts of the reader and in the end, even though Mama does unthinkable things in the name of retribution, the reader will still love her.

Writing is more than just a hobby or a means to pass time. I love it! I have a million plots in my head that needs to be inked on paper but time is not always on my side. Inspiration is everywhere. I have found it in my own life, in the lives of others, nature etc. Sometimes one should just quiet down and allow inspiration to find us.

Electus per Deus was inspired by true events that shook our country to its core from the year 2012 up to 2016. I've always found murder mysteries extremely fascinating and when it happened right on my doorstep, so to speak, I just had to write a book about it.
