Wild Thing Just keep writing ... even if it's just a grocery list! hah! Describe something ... write a letter ... I even wrote my writer's block a Dear John letter!
Wild Thing Getting it out ... then there's room for new to grow.
Wild Thing Just do it. It's how I found my voice. I was scared to death to do it ... especially putting it out there for other people to read! But I did it and I'm glad I did. So just do it ... don't stop to think about it!
Wild Thing I am continuing to write poetry but am now branching out to short stories. These are about my life as well as some family history. All are of a humorous vein or bittersweet in nature.
Wild Thing My inspiration comes from all kinds of places. My childhood memories of my father who is no longer with us are my "true life" poems. The majority of my inspiration will come while I am out taking photos. Sometimes I'm in nature and I hear a song, or I'm in the city and I see a person. A headstone can even set my imagination off.
Wild Thing I was encouraged by my friends after a year of writing on my blog ... so I took a deep breath and compiled them into book form.
