I work as an acquisitions editor for Immortal Works. All the books I read are submissions. I'm not allowed to talk about them, but I get to read some really great books! I'm a very busy mom with five kids, so I get very little time to write. My chances are so far apart that I have lots of time to brainstorm in between sessions, so writers block is rare. If I do have it, I just back off of the project for a while and let it simmer.

Read as much as you can in all genres. Reading teaches you what makes good writing. And write. Your imagination is like a muscle. The more you use it, the stronger it gets.

My favorite part of writing is being able to use my talent to serve other people. Some friends of mine are struggling with cancer and I was asked to write them a letter to be read on Christmas day that would help boost their spirits and convey how much everyone loved them. It was such an honor to write that letter!

I have two projects in the works. One is an Alaskan mythological fantasy. The other is a memoir about my unique childhood.
