This may sound rather strange, but I absolutely love the world of Proxima Five (by Missouri Vaun). It's raw, primal, instinctual. It's the past, the present, and the future all rolled into one. And it has the hottest warrior ever, Keegan. She may have something to do with it. :)

The scream tore from her throat, the sharp knife of pain the only thing that stopped her. Her hands pressed against cold, smooth concrete confirming there would be no escape from the coffin she was in.

Since I do a lot of proofreading I have an ongoing list. Recent reads include: Vanished by Eden Darry, Pursuit by Jackie D, Party of Three by Sandy Lowe, Chasing Sunset by Missouri Vaun, and Breathe by Cari Hunter. There's a lot more, but that's the short list. All worthy reads.

I HAVE to write every day. Whether its five minutes or five hours, I have to do something with a current work, or a short story, or something else. Once I'm at my writing table, I put on music, open a second laptop for research and other information, and start.

I can be riding in a car, or at a party, or watching TV...anywhere really. All of a sudden, I'll grab paper and pen. It might just be a sentence, or a few. Or maybe it's a character. I see them take shape in my mind. Then it's off to the races. I have a notebook dedicated to ideas.

A romantic intrigue, Stroke of Fate. I'm putting some final touches on the manuscript before sending it off to my publisher and editor. Then the real fun begins.

Seeing the page numbers grow. Learn new things about characters. Have "ah ha" moments. Let's face it, I love it all.

I'm not sure what writers block is. I think everyone experiences little "glitches" where I am unsure how to proceed to the next scene, or chapter, especially since I am a panster. I do something to break my thought pattern. Go putter for a bit, or play a game, or chat for a bit. After 10 or 15 minutes, I try again. Sometimes I just need to walk away and let ideas come on their own, then I go back.
