Start writing. Just start. And set a goal for yourself to either write for a certain amount of time every day, or for a certain amount of words every week, and stick to it. Yes, life happens, but if you don't have that self accountability in place, the writing won't happen. Period.

Being able to utilize my imagination to write out essentially whatever I want. Had a conversation that I wanted to go a different way than it did? It now went that way in a tale. Have a regret from the past? Presto. Change-o. It's now rewritten.

Inspiration comes to me all the time from conversations, real-life occurrences, and more -- unfortunately, many of the times it's when I'm in the car driving and obviously can't write it down then.

One specific scene (the kitchen scene -- when the walls and floor changed colors and shifted) in "Some Horrific Evening" came to me in a dream. It wouldn't leave my head, so I went with it and more and more ideas behind it came to me.
