The best thing about being a writer is also the worst thing: the flexibility. I can work whenever I want, anywhere, at whatever time of day. But having such flexibility also means it's too easy to put work off until later, or to get distracted. Time management is not my forte, but I'm trying.

When I'm stuck I find the best thing to do is walk away for a while. I go do something that keeps my hands busy but frees my mind to mull over the problem. Crafts, weeding, ironing (and plucking my eyebrows!) all work really well. The worst thing to do is to try to force your way out of a block. Forcing anything is never good, and forcing creativity just doesn't work.

Besides promoting my new novel, Love Lies Bleeding, I'm already working on a sequel. The next book will include most of the original characters, but will also feature some new ones that I'm excited about. While Love Lies Bleeding is a stand alone title, the sequel will add depth and dimension, as well as being an entertaining read in its own right.
