Mark Gonyea Thanks! Probably because it's a self published book I did on my own (no ISBN number). Hopefully one of these days I can get a publisher interested! : ) Thanks for asking!

Mark Gonyea At this moment, my most recent book is Counting on Letters. That idea actually came from wanting to create my own unique font based on a letters numerical place in the alphabet.

The font didn't really work out but I really liked the idea so I made a poster with the work I had already done. Eventually, that poster was the inspiration for a book.

Work is never wasted. You never know, an idea that didn't work might be the perfect fit for your next idea.
Mark Gonyea This isn't exclusive to authors, but the sense of accomplishment by seeing an idea through from beginning to end. There's a high that comes with creativity, it's addicting. The more you make, the more you want to make.

And staying up late! That's pretty great too.
Mark Gonyea I usually have 3 or 4 concepts going at the same time. Eventually one will rise above the others and demand to be completed and that's when I'll focus on a specific idea.

I pretty much know the theme I want to tackle next so right now I'm working on creating unique characters. That involves a lot of sketching and daydreaming.
