He Hustled My Heart is dear because a lot of Brielle's pain I can identify with. It was a story that was brewing in my head, and I ran with it.

It's crazy because I could be driving in the car, fresh out of the shower, in the grocery store and all of a sudden, I hear a character talk to me. I know that sounds weird, but then I have to write.

Don't be afraid to try. It's hard and the writing world is harsh and cold. Find people that are kind and connect with them. Don't worry about the naysayers. Keep pushing it.

The best thing about being a writer is, you actually get to share your imaginary world with others. I often think people don't fully understand you until they realize how cool your imagination is.
