The Calyx series is a conscious twist on the erotic 'chateau' type novels, but I wanted it to be about women's pleasure, not women as playthings for men. I also wanted a 'real-life' woman at the centre. So-called 'mommy erotica' (agree this is a reductive term) is about virginal young women in their early twenties.

A third book in my 'Rites' series, following All-Hallows' Eve Rites and The Rites of Midwinter, set in late-nineteenth century Transylvania, which will be the continuing adventures of the unapologetic Gabriela.

I have been lucky in having more ideas than I have time to write at the moment. Writer's block is only ever temporary, so I can change activity half an hour and get back into writing.
