Marie-Helene - Thank you so much for your question. I really appreciate that you are enjoying my books. I'm actually writing another Historical WW2 book right now, set on an US Army Munitions Depot near my home in Upstate New York. I hope to have this book out during the summer. Thanks to you and your friend for reading my books - can't wait to get out a new one!

If I could travel to Hogwarts, as well as travel in time to be 11 again, I'd definitely want to go back to school. I'm crazy for the Harry Potter series and JK Rowling created such a vivid world, I can see myself there.

It varies. On The Homefront started with an idea I got from a visit to the Normandy American Cemetery and Memorial in France and the research I did after that visit. Killing Her Softly, my Fall release, came to me in a dream and merely needed flushing out. My current work-in-progress, a sequel to Killing Her Softly, came from an actual event that happened in my home town of Watkins Glen, NY. Ideas come from everywhere, the trick is making them into a compelling story.

Keep writing, learning, and trying. I sent out so many queries, to agents and publishers, I can't even begin to count them all. I kept writing the books that mattered, took years to work at this, attended many workshops, conferences, and took online classes, and kept sending out those queries. It all pays off eventually.

The best thing about being a writer is sharing the stories that have entertained and excited me with my readers. Also, working in my pajamas is a great thing.

I find that if I walk away from the computer for a while, try outlining, interviewing my characters, or even making notes by hand, I can find my way around the stumbling blocks in my mind.

I am currently working on a sequel to my upcoming romantic suspense novel, Killing Her Softly, which should be released this fall. I also am working on the research for a new WWII-era women's fiction novel.

The inspiration for On The Homefront came from a family trip to The Normandy American Cemetery and Memorial in Colleville-sur-Mer, France, which is the opening scene of On The Homefront. I've always been interested in WWII and the Greatest Generation, and the research I did following our trip to Normandy really solidified my fascinating with this time period.
